With recent changes in the BGVC and their deposit policy with RCI, many BGVC owners will be looking for alternative exchange companies.
With SFX's policy of rewarding desirable deposits with bonus weeks, this could be an opportunity for SFX to get some new members and new deposits.

In the past, you have listed which Wyndham resorts and which weeks you would accept - could u do the same for Bluegreen please?

There are two additional resorts on the ocean in Cape Cod, one in New Hampshire? and one in the Bahamas (Nassau) that Bluegreen is in the process of renovating - once they are available to reserve I will list them as well.

Hi Anita and thank you for your post.

At this moment in time, we do not show online availability. SFX has operated quite differently from the major exchange companies. The general industry rule is, around 80% of the timeshare world, requests about 20% of the best timeshare space. The only space you see online with the other companies, is space they have no requests for from their members. The 20% you don't see online.... because as it is deposited it is immediately booked to those who have an ongoing search.

SFX (as a general rule) specializes in that "20%". For the most part... we don't specialize in the 80%. If we did, you would see it online too. So, the most desirable properties and seasons for the most part do not sit around on the shelf waiting for people to book them, as the Demand for the better space is usually greater than the Supply.

Although many people have dropped their other exchange company to use SFX, we do not position ourselves as a replacement for your other exchange company. We like to refer to SFX as a boutique exchange service providing "Enhanced" services to timeshare owners.

Having said all that... by the end of this February, we will be launching an online exchange booking component initially for Platinum and Diamond members. However, we do stress that as with the other exchagne companies, most exchanges will be fulfilled with a request placed for an ongoing search.

With regards to trade-power, the Bluegreen Resorts that qualify for SFX, we feel represent good trading-power during the seasons stated.

Using SFX gives you access to quality resorts that are listed in both RCI and I.I.

.... Our Gold Membership is Free, and our overall fees are less than the other companies.

Philosophically I love the approach of accepting only the better weeks. If you accept my week, I know I have a decent chance of making a good trade. (good = fair, not good = I get better than I give).

If multiple customers are both requesting a given high demand week (say a prime ski week), how do you determine who gets it? Is it based on who requested first? Quality / demand for the week deposited? Other factors?

FYI, Bluegreen owners are not restricted to internal and RCI. Since some Bluegreen resorts trade through II, we have the option of using II for exchanges. We have to pay for the account with II and the RCI account is provided as part of our ownership.

That said, I'm still thrilled to have SFX as another option.

There are a number of considerations: Who placed their request first. What is the Supply vs Demand for their resort /location/unit size/season etc (Trading-Power).

Bluegreen Points Owners

We have had several inquiries from people who own at Points based resorts that didn't know they can still deposit their time with SFX for a weekly vacation exchange.

If you own at a Points based resort system, you can still deposit a "Week" of time with SFX for your Vacation Exchange and any current Special Promotions we are offering. You simply would contact your resort's reservation department and reserve a weeks worth of points (7 nights) in at least a one bedroom unit, and then login to your SFX account to deposit that week. (No different to banking a regular week).

If you have any questions on this process, we will be more than delighted to assist.

Although Spring Break does vary in different regions, for our purposes this year we are classifying Spring Break as two weeks prior and including the Easter week.

I couldn't immediately locate any information on these units. If you would be kind enough to direct me to a resource where I can review the Oak Timbers and the Cottages, I can repsond.

With regards to Trading-Power.... this late your score on TP would be on the lower side because it is so close to Spring Break. That doesn't mean you will receive a bad exchange.

To Bruce,FWIW, I have a wait list request in for Casa Del Mar for possible SFX exchange - and I chose to book the larger oceanfront 1BR instead of the standard as I think this would appeal to SFX customer base (as well as me!) ...
