  • Depositing with Wyndham Points

    Hi Mark,
I am a Wyndham Points owner. I understand that to deposit I book a week with Wyndham and and then fill in the on line form with info on the week that I booked. I have also read the info you provided on the best Wyndham properties to book. Since I would be booking at a Wyndham resort that is not my home resort I can book up to 10 months out. Would a Waikiki Beach Walk booked for Dec 2011 get a decient trading power?
Also, since RCI is my normal trading company that is included with my Wyndham contract, do I need to get a guest cert on the unit that I book or is that something that is taken care of by SFX when I deposit or not needed?
Also, a theoritical question about chances of getting an exchange. Is an exchange to Club Intrawest Vancover within the range of possibilities and does SFX get any of these in?
I understand that you can't give a guarantee but just wondering what the possibilities are before I make my first deposit.
    thanks Ken H.

Ken - Thank you for your post. Waikiki Beach Walk has very good trading power. There is high demand for the area, and only a couple of good properties.

It is my understanding you would need to get a guest cert from Wyndham, and I believe you do get one per year at no charge??

It never used to be that way, but considering Wyndham owns RCI.... Well, I'll say no more on that subject!

Vancouver.... no guarantees. However, with a reasonble degree of flexibility with dates, I would say it is within the realms of possibility.

Hope this helps, and our agents at 800.739.9969 will be glad to provide you with assistance if needed.

    Thanks,

Thanks Mark.. I guess that means that I would have to get the guest cert after you have a person to take the property. I am not worried about the guest cert as I am VIP gold with Wyndham am more conceerned about the logistics of it. It is my understanding that the party has to be named on it and that would be a bit after my booking..
Dors anyone with Wyndham property that has done an SFX exchange know how that would work..

I just got this information from our operations director....

It’s simple, we receive the deposit along with a copy of their Wyndham confirmation. We then go back to the depositing member and have them call in a Guest Name for the inbound. Depending on their level of ownership with Wyndham, there may or may not be a fee for the Guest Certificate.

We attach the Guest Cert along with our confirmation for the SFX inbound member.

        Hope this helps...

        Thanks,
