  • Timeshares near Monterey, CA?

    Mark,

Can you please tell me what timeshares near Monterey, CA can be exchanged into with SFX. I know there are a couple in the SFX directory at Pacific Grove.

There is a Worldmark in Marina and a Hyatt at Carmel. Can either of these be exchanged?

Our son and his family are moving to Monterey in 10 days which is the reason why we are interested in timeshares in the area. This will be an ongoing thing for us as we want to visit our son and grandkids.

Our son is the new Head Coach of the men's soccer program at California State University at Monterey Bay "CSUMB"

Hi John - Thank you for your post. In addition, there is the Pacific Grove Plaza. Due to extremely high owner occupancy, the Hyatt Highlands Inn hardly has any exchange activity. There is a better chance of the Worlmark or Pacific Grove Plaza.

However, because this is in the most beautiful region of the California Coast, unless you are very flexible, it can be difficult to exchange into, as demand is "extremely" high. But... it's worth taking a shot.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Mark. We are very flexible as we don't have to adhere to any schedules and we will drive up so we can travel on a moments notice. Our purpose is to visit our son and 3 grandkids and not sightsee. We are very familiar with the Monterey/Carmel area.
