That is a pretty good promo for anyone whom missed the last promo. Alas, if you took advantage of the last one, this one does not offer much.

Bonus Weeks - Already have a few
$500 Cash Card - Already have $440ish left.
Reinstate Expired Weeks - Don't have any expired weeks
18 Month Extension - Well, that is always nice

While the extension is always a nice benefit, just not enough alone to make me deposit another week. Was kinda in hopes that there might have been a way to add more time to my Diamond Membership or something to that extent. That would have motivated me.

Anyways, as I said, this is not a bad promo, in fact it is a pretty good one all in all. Just depends on what you needs are.

Hi PortableTech - Thank you for your post.

Well... lets take a look at this, as it seems we may have spoiled you with the last promotion

It would be nice if an exchange company had many new options to offer you each year. The reality is with what? We are already giving the house away...

Premium bonus weeks bookable up to a year in advance at quality resorts, (I don't see other exchange companies doing that?).

Reinstatement of expired weeks... (mmmm... didn't see any other exchange companies doing that either).

Extending existing weeks by another year giving you more time to use them, just by making a deposit... hang on, ahhh no, sorry RCI or II didn't do that for you either. Thought they did for a moment

Giving you another $500 on top of your existing cash-credit to use over the next two years..... Nope, just checked... RCI or I.I. are not giving you a "dime" to transact in their vacation store!!! (I don't get it, haven't heard of anyone rejecting money towards transactions).

So, seeing we are offering Much More than any other company... lets reduce it to this. You have 4 basic options for your 2012 week.

        1. Use the week where you own.

        2. Try renting it out or giving it to a friend.

        3. Deposit it with an exchange company that is giving less than SFX (or SFX).

        4. Do none of the above... and let it go to waste. (This one really isn't a good option, so that leaves three).

Pick one... Time is a perishable commodity and the clock is ticking. After Aug 15, the benefits are less.

        Hope this helps,

        Thanks,

I hope you do not think I was complaining Mark. That was certainly not my intention. As I said it is a great deal for those that missed out on the last promotion. And yes, I am a bit spoiled as I had the good fortune of taking advantage of the last two promotions that you offered. Between the Diamond Discounts, and the SFX Cash, I am pretty well set over the next year or two.

The benefits you offer are excellent as always, they are just not quite so excellent for someone in my position as I do not believe I would be able to take advantage of the additional perks in a way that would make it worth while at this given time. Does that mean I will not make another deposit with SFX? No, it just means I will probably hold out and see what the next quarters promotion brings. The current offering just does not fit my needs at the moment.

For all of you whom missed the last quarters promo, this is a good one to get on. The SFX cash is nice, and it makes the travel insurance very cheap. Plus it makes those Sell off Weeks even better!! Many good uses, check it out.

Hi PortableTech - not at all. I didn't take it as a complaint... My thoughts were more like "why do we spoil our members with so much, and what do you give, when there is nothing greater to give than money and benefits"?

My response was more "tongue-in-cheek" trying to have some "fun" with it

And here is the "however"..... Even if you feel it doesn't fit your needs at this moment, it still remains, you only have those 3 choices. (#4 isn't a real option). At some point, you will have to pick one of them.

                1. Use the week where you own.

                2. Try renting it out or giving it to a friend.

                3. Deposit it with an exchange company that is giving less than SFX (or SFX).

We appreciate your business, and have a good evening.

Celpert - thank you for your post. Unfortunatley Mountainside at Massanutten doesn't qualify for SFX. Do you own at another resort that may qualify?

I am new to SFX and I got the promo in an e-mail. I have been debating with myself on whether I should take advantage of this offer or not.

I did book a week in Myrtle Beach with check in on 4/15/2012 at Wyndham Ocean Boulevard 2 Bedroom Deluxe Ocean View Upper Level. I intended to trade it for NYC Manhattan Club but I was able to get this through RCI just this morning.

I was just coming to the timeshare forums to get y'all opinion on this promo.

I am still kind of hesitant, because I am afraid I deposit it and then end up not trading it. Thus, I end up wasting a week of points.

Is that $500 something I would use to pay transaction fees? Just wondering how that works and what else can you tell me to make me feel more comfortable depositing my week?

                          THANKS

The $500 can be used for parts of various things. If you look at the promo details they do a very good job of spelling out what it can be used on. Also, one nice thing about SFX is that weeks basicly never truly die. I had a week that had expired a few years back that I never used, but recently back in the January promo I deposited a week that included reinstating an expired week, so there it comes right back into my account as valid as it was the day I deposited it. And with the exact same trading power it had when it was initially deposited.

The concept of an expired week here is more like a soft expire and not a hard expire where the week is gone and of no value what so ever. Almost every promo includes a revive an expired week option.

So, If April 14 comes and goes and NOBODY rents out my week it can be revived later on? Can it be revived more than once?
