  • SFX Membership????

I have spent the morning reading the SFX posts. I have no experience with SFX and wanted to see if they would be a good fit for us. One post, dated 5/10, asked "Why should I deposit my week with SFX?" and the question was answered in a PM. I also have that question. If I understand the resorts SFX accepts correctly, we have two resorts - Sedona Springs and Cypress Pointe Grandvilla that SFX would accept. The support and response from Mark at SFX is fantastic and a definite plus to make me consider switching exchange companies. Would appreciate guidance on this. Many thanks. Jan

    You can't lose

There is no way to lose with SFX. You don't have a membership fee, so it's not gamble. Or if you want to search first, then you can pay a membership fee.

They are great hand holders and will help you a great deal.

Just ask and they will tell you what and when they will accept it.

What i can personally tell you is that, indeed, Mark is very helpful. I didnt know anything about SFX 3 weeks ago! Started to read that thread in this forum (Thanks to TUG!) and it happened i had several questions regarding SFX. I didnt want to sound to "dumb" towards the usual posters here with my questions so i sent Mark a PM. Couple of days later he answered them all and i am now waiting to be able to deposit my 2008 week (august 2006) with them to take my membership! Saw too many horror stories about the trading with my exchange cie that i'm gonna give them a try!

Positives: FREE Gold membership, lower $ Platinum than RCI membership, lower $ to exchange, opportunity for bonus weeks at lower $ than RCI Extras, fast replies from Mark, changing of some rules based on input from this board (MF paid in advance), & occasional "bend the rules" based on individual circumstances.
        Negatives: ?
We made our first deposit 5/16, and confirmed two weeks in Grand Mayan & Mayan Palace for 01/07 on 5/24. Give em' a try!

          Great Company!

SFX is right upfront with what will give you the best shot at a Gold Crown or 5 star resort because they only accept the better places at the best times. They will, however try to get you what you would most prefer through their "connections" so to speak. The bonus weeks are just as good as what you deposit with few restrictions. The membership and exchange fees are reasonable. I used my Sedona Springs deposit Bonus weeks for 2 weeks in Mexico next February. My Calif. coastal week deposit Bonus week got me a week in Hawaii for my son with a no charge room upgrade and a free guest certificate. I still have the weeks I deposited to use later for more great exchanges at places I know will be top notch. RCI and II hasn't come close to what SFX has done for me so far.

To be fair, I have also tried Hawaiian Timeshare Exchange and love them, too.

And Mark and all the crew at SFX are really great. They answer your questions honestly and try to get you a good exchange that will leave you a satisfied customer.
You can't go wrong. Give them a try.
