  • First time exchanger with questions

    Hi Mark,

    I have a few questions;

    1. Would you accept an Easter Week at Carriage Hills / Carriage Ridge as Prime Week? Either the week before or the week after? This would be my first attempt at an exchange and would like to start with one of the independents.

    2. This may be answered elsewhere but does depositing a high-demand limit me to getting only high-demand in return and vice versa? I would assume that if I trade a prime I could get high-demand, but there is a fee to go from high-demand to prime.

    3. I noticed on a BlueGreen posting that SFX does not accept Mountain Run @ Boyne, is that correct?

    4. Last but not least, I have seen postings which indicate which resorts within a given company you would accept. Is something similar available for SVC? If there is a previous post my apologies, but I have been unable to locate it.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Tom - Thank you for your post, and a warm welcome.

    1. We would gladly accept an Easter week from either property, although Carriage Hills would give you slightly higher trading-power for your exchange. You would qualify for our current 2012 deposit promotion, which includes a $500 cash-card.

    2. If you deposit an Easter week, we consider that as a Prime Time week. If you deposit in a lower season such as High-demand, you would be limited to exchanging into High-demand (which is generally the shoulder seasons Spring/Fall). If you deposit Prime Time, then you can request Prime Time or High Season (any time of the year).

    * There is an exception to travel when its around 60 days or less, then your high season week can qualify for an exchange that is in Prime Time. Typically 60 days or less most trading power restrictions are removed.

    3. That is correct. It's a nice resort with a good rating, unfortunately we have zero demand for that location from our member base.

    4. We havent posted a list "yet" of SVC resorts we will accept, but will be happy to do so this coming week.

    We appreciate your questions, and will be delighted to respond to any further questions you may have.

    Thanks,

      Thanks Mark, I will go ahead and make that reservation in the next day or so. Just to verify, do you consider the week before or the week after Easter to be Easter week?

      I look forward to the list of SVC properties you would accept. I gather there will be many as they are considered to be high quality by most (at least I think they are!) There are several on the hawaii islands and in California.
