  • Using online search - how?

Here is the situation: I took advantage of SFX's latest deposit special, and I received one exchange week and five Lifestyle weeks. We booked our exchange week immediately after our deposit was confirmed and got a great exchange (Thanks, SFX! ). We also decided to purchase a 3-year Platinum membership at the same time, because it made sense for the discounts / upgrades we would receive.

Now here is my question: It has been stated here before that you can use the online search and book a Lifestyle week on the web site. And with my Platinum membership, I am supposed to have an 18-month window to search. All sounds great so far.

When I go to the Online Exchange Search page on the web site, it requires you to select a deposit credit to begin the search. I don't have a deposit credit, because I already used my exchange! So I have all these Lifestyle weeks and I have paid for a Platinum membership in part to be able to search online, but I have no way to search online. I know I can call up and request weeks, but sometimes being able to search online will show something that I didn't think of, and I would like to book.

Is there a way around this limitation? Have other people run into this? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi Kurt - Thank you for your post.

At this present moment, to book a LifeStyle week, you will need to call an agent to ask if we have immediate availability for what you are looking for, or to place a request and search for it.

Also... If you see a week on the Sell-Off List you would like to book as a LifeStyle week (because it's typically less money), you can also call an agent an ask them to book that week at the LifeStyle price.

Our IT department is working on rewriting code for live bookings with LifeStyle weeks. The reason it's taking a little time is because it is far more complex than the code written for the previous Bonus Weeks.

With the previous Bonus Weeks it was really simple to code as the price was usually either $399 or $499 no matter how far in advance you booked. With the LifeStyle weeks there is variable pricing depending on how far in advance and what size unit.

However... in the very near future you will be able to book LifeStyle weeks in real-time.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply, Mark. Hopefully your IT department will update this soon, but until then, I will continue working with my CS rep for requests/searches.

Ah....at last..my chance to put in a plug for SFX's great Customer Service people. Yes, it would be nice to have the everything available instantly via IT advances (I, too, would rather browse than talk). However our conversations - and maybe we've just hit it lucky - with Marcie have been delightful, helpful, and efficient. In addition, these folks respond promptly to email inquiries - not something we find often. SFX - I don't know how you find these folks, but you're sure doing something right.

        Happy weekend all,

        Zach, Ft. Collins, CO
