  • Lifestyle Presidential Suites, Puerto Plata, DR

We are exchanging into a 2 bedroom unit, having traded a Grand Luxxe week. Our SFX Confirmation states we have VIP level benefits, which seems essential at this resort. Apparently with that status you have a much more limited restaurant and food selection, and certan beaches become off limit.

Has anyone been the the Presdiential Suites, and if so what advice can you provide. Can you recommend any exicitng excursions? Thanks.

We actually just arranged a rental in a 4BR villa at that resort from an owner. We had looked at exchanging into the resort but the AI fees were so much higher as an exchange than they are as a guest of an owner. I would assume you are getting the same deal on the fees an owner would via SFX. I know what what we have been told, there are 4 or 5 different color bracelets representing various "VIP" levels.

The best ones available are Black, but I am told those are only for high end owners whom are staying on their own ownership.

Next up is Gold, this is guest of an Owner. You have all the same privileges as the black band except I think 1 or 2 of the restaurants.

Now, this is where things start to change, and I have heard a few different accounts.

There is apparently a blue bracelet, where you are the guest of a lower end owner, which still gets you several perks, but there are less restaurants, and I think one less beach.

I also hear there are Yellow and Purple bracelets, that is used for consolidator deals through sights such as cheap carabian. These apparently have very few perks, only a handful of restaurants, less beaches, no ability to make advance dinner reservations, etc.

Now, I also believe there is a special restaurant that is reserved for people in the Presidential Suits that is in the same building you are. The reviews I have seen on those specific units seem to be good, but again, we have not actually been to this resort yet.

We plan to be there May 30th - June 13th. Let me know if you will be around during that time. Also, just curious, what did they hit you up for in AI fees.

Just came back from this resort.... If you get VIP benefits, I suggest you try to arrange your restaurant reservations in advance as they are all booked upon arrival. You can waitlist yourself each morning and if there is a cancellation, you are advised between 3-5PM.
