  • Sonoma in September?

    Hi Mark,
My sister was hoping to use a bonus week of ours to go to Sonoma in September. I have no idea if its reasonable to hope that she might get something at this late date? I'm just wondering if she should make other arrangements.
    Thanks,
    Darcy

Hi Darcy - Thank you for your post. The closest property to Sonoma would be the Worldmark property at Windsor. Then further south in the valley there is Riverpointe and further south is Vino Bello. It is premium demand time and somewhat late but... by all means please place the request. You may want to consider a week in SF as a plan B?

    Thanks,

Thanks Mark. My sister is considering other locations they might want to add to the request also.

Having stayed at Riverpointe (an exchange I did through SFX) I found the location very good. It is right in Napa.

The accommodations were fine for our needs. They are not 5 star, but are nice. The bed was good, the kitchen a little small for me (the cook of the family) but I would go back again.

Also, the resort concierge was wonderful.

Vinter - Thank you for your post. I do agree with your comments about the resort. Certainly not 5 star, but it is a 5 star location. Sometimes there is that trade-off in wanting to be in a globally demanded location with very little availability. We are glad you had a good time.

          Thanks,

            Riverpointe

They are mobile homes and must be able to move them all out in short notice as they are in a flood plain.Really prefer the Vino Bello in Napa which has a rather strange location near the edge of an industrial Park.Stayed a week last year and may go again this year.Iused to live enar Windsor and I think Napa area is much more fun for tourists IMHO.

Sfx came through for us! Short notice and only two available check in dates and they got us the exchange. Thanks!
