Did you specifically request the Manhattan Club. It seems that everybody that wants NYC only consider the Manhattan Club but there are other choices.
We have exchanged into New York City 3 times through SFX in the past 4 years at 3 different timeshares. We exchanged into the Manhattan Club, HGVC West 57th Street, and Hilton Vacation Club on Avenue of the Americas.
We far prefer the Hilton Vacation Club on Avenue of the Americas. It has the best location, amenities and service. The Manhattan Club is our least favorite.
Any of them are fine but I just wanted people to be aware that the Manhattan Club is not the only timeshare in NYC.
New York City is our favorite vacation destination by far.JohnComment

To some people, lack of kitchenette is not a big deal.
That said, I would stay at either location.
Have not been to west 57 Hilton so can not comment.

Having a kitchenette is of no value to us. We never cook any meals on vacation. As far as Central Park goes, it is just 2 very short blocks farther from the Hilton and the Hilton is more centrally located to Times Square, Top of The Rock, etc. However location is not a real big deal as all 3 timeshares are located just a couple blocks from each other.JohnComment

No, we didn't put in a specific request. My wife has stayed at HGVC West
57th Street in the past and was very impressed with it. We were excited to get the 1br at the Manhattan Club this time around. NY is also one of our favourite destinations.Comment

Thank you. This information is very helpful. I own WM points and I go back and forth with myself over what to deposit into SFX to get the trades I want. I tried for nealry a year to get a one bedroom at one of the Hiltons in NY and it never came through with SFX. I guess studios are the way to go. Thanks, again.
