Kdorward - thank you for your post. HGVC Hawaii, is a great resort. However, the minimum size we accept in resort areas are one-bedroom suites and higher. Just as you do not want to use a studio for your exchange, it is the same with other timeshare Owners. Their expecation is at least a one-bedroom suite... anything less compromises the value and experience of their timeshare Ownership. We do all possible to maximize the Members exchange experience. The exception are major cities like SF, NY, London etc. where the experience is more of an adult vacation profile rather than a family style. Also, in major cities because of the extreme high cost of real estate, most of the timeshare inventory are studio's.

If you are a Platinum Member and deposit a one-bedroom suite, you can request an upgrade to a two-bedroom suite. Hope this helps...

Hey Mark, along those lines, I have a request in for Hawaii (summer of 2007). I deposited my 2 BR from Greensprings (VA). That means SFX is looking for a 2BR in Hawaii for me correct? If this is true, is there usually adequate inventory for 2 BR or should I change/modify my request to a 1 BR (or at least 'willing to accept 1 BR' in the comments section)?

Whodat - thank you for your post. We are searching for a 2-bedroom unit for you, based on 4 adults traveling in your party.

There are more 1-bedroom units available for exchange in Hawaii than 2's. Although we are still about a year away from your requested dates, and a reasonable chance for fulfillment, if a 1-bedroom sleep 4 will work for you ... then indeed it opens up many more opportunities for fulfillment.
