Maui inventory

Realistically, do you get much Maui inventory? My schedule is flexible but am initially looking for Feb or Sept/Oct 2014.

linsj - Thank you for your post. It all depends on how you define "much". In reality, no exchange company gets enough deposited weeks in Maui to satisfy the demand for every exchange request, as Maui is the most demanded island, with the least amount of deposited space to exchange companies. Most people who own in Maui (especially in the nicer properties), have a greater propensity to either use or rent their weeks out, rather than make them available for exchange.

So, although we get a fairly large number of deposits in Maui, we recommend placing a request for Maui as your first choice, and perhaps other islands as an alternative, because regardless of how many weeks any exchange company receives for Maui, the demand exceeds the supply of space. If you are reasonably flexible... then there is a reasonably good chance of being booked.

It's always better to under-promise... and over-deliver

Thanks for the info, Mark. I'm trying to get a feel for which independent exchange company for Maui with my two Kauai weeks. I have access to Oahu and the Big Island with my Hilton points, so Maui is the only island I need to exchange into.
