Standard resorts

Mark,
I deposited my GC high demand week with SFX for your bonus weeks and excellent service. But when it comes to my exchange, some of the places I'd like to go simply don't have Gold Crowns, only standard resorts. While I appreciate a high quality resort, location is more important to me. Can you access standard resorts in those areas that don't have GC/5*?

Timetraveler - thank you for your post and kind words. This is an excellent question.

From time to time, there are certain areas Members wish to travel to that do not have any GC /5* rated resorts. This does not prevent you requesting such areas. Just because they don't have that rating, doesn't mean to say they are poor quality. On the contrary, there are many resorts without those ratings that provide an acceptable quality vacation experience.

The equation and balancing factor we look at is; it may not be a 5* resort, but it may be a "5* location", and the all round vacation experience certainly acceptable and a great vacation to be enjoyed.

By all means, you may request areas that do not have GC /5* resorts. The agent will give you advisement accordingly, asking you to acknowledge your acceptance of a less than GC /5*... we will gladly work with you in this scenario.

Are you saying unless we tell you, we are willing to accept a non 5*/GC, we will not match up a non 5* exchange into a hard to get location like London?

Bill - SFX has built it's business model specializing in GC & 5 Star rated resorts. In not diluting that model, as a general rule we will not offer lesser quality unless there are mitigating circumstances, or unless we are advised by the Member they are willing to take a lesser quality unit. One of the primary reasons Timeshare Owners use SFX is because we are more selective and discriminating with regards to acceptable resort selection.
