  • ? on exchange request

    Hi Mark,
Is there a way when putting in an exchange request to specify specific resorts in an area?
I only see the area on the request form.
I would like to put in a request for Hawaii, Oahu but want to specify a couple of resorts that we are interested in.
Also can you link request in some way to accommodate consecutive weeks in close areas (example, if you want to try to get
2 consecutivee weeks in Hawaii, one in Oahu and one in Maui or Kauai)? In this case you would not want to just put in two separate
request, one for each place, as they could possibly both come in for the same week. Also you need them to be consecutive weeks for airfare and continuity of trip.
thanks for any info you can provide.

My timeshares are associated with Interval. With I.I., Yes, you can specify the individual resorts that you will accept.

When you put in a request, you are required to include a minimum of 3 resorts OR 1 resort over a minimum 3 week period. The "work-around" is to add a 3rd resort or 3rd week that you know that you have a close to zero chance of getting (e.g. the Manhattan club in a high-demand period?).

I almost always request specific resorts. You can do this in the comments area unless it has changed since my last request.

I tried to figure it out on the website, was not intelligent enough so I sent an email and they put one in for me.

Hi Ken - sorry for the delayed response, I have just returned from an Amazing trip to China.

When you place your request, you are asked for a location and a range of acceptable travel dates. You can specify specific resorts in the Comments-Box on that same screen. In order to increase your odds of a successful exchange, we strongly suggest not requesting just one specific resort especially if its in a high demand area with very few properties, in high season.

For a consecutive two week exchange, you can add the first week of travel against one of your deposits, and then add the second location and the following week dates against your second deposited week (Or a Bonus Week credit if you have one available to you). We also suggest in the Comments box that it is a Two-week exchange you are requesting.

          Hope this helps...

          Thanks,
