  • SFX Travel Store

Has anyone here used the SFX Store to purchase anything, and if so did you feel it saved you anything?

The search engine for hotels and car rentals looks identical to the one on RCI as do the results. Instead of being a one stop shopping it becomes just another place to try to find savings but so far no luck. They seem to throw Vacation cash/savings credits around and into your account like monopoly money but I can't see where you can use any of it for anything. Maybe its because I only have a gold membership. Any platinum or diamond members feel differently.

    I have a diamond membership.
I do see a few things for $49 to $99 a week and some last minute cruise deals.
Some decent resort stays for decent prices.
I've yet to book anything but have seen a few that I could have used.

I'm a Diamond member, but it seems that the SFX Travel store benefits don't show fully/properly for me. For example: The travel store says you get dining/restaurant/wine benefits, etc. But since I'm diamond, I don't see any of those for some reason under the My Account and "My benefits" sections.

So I cannot comment on that.

I've only ever used the rewards for some cruises. Depending upon the cruise, you may be able to get a modest savings of a few hundred dollars vs. other travel sites (which I cannot list here, but there are some sites that will pre-pay your gratuities, etc.).

I've never used the savings for airfare or rental mainly because I fly Southwest and my rentals tend to be one-way (cruises).

IF you have flexible travel plans you can snag some really good deals with the rewards for Mexico (cancun/cozumel).

      Hope that helps?

I just booked a car rental in Kona using the SFX travel store.

        I'm a Diamond member.

I got it much cheaper than I had found using Kayak, Costco, and Avis. I'm an Avis Preferred member and everything was at least $100 more.

It's an Alamo rental and I'm very happy with the price I got considering car rentals are so expensive on the Big Island.
