HGVC exhange for specific week in Maui 2018

Hello,

We own 12k points at HGVC Kingsland and want to use SFX to get a 2BR for a specific week in Maui in January 2018.

This far out, can we reasonably expect to get a specific week in Maui? We would probably accept any of the Maui resorts.

Trying to avoid wasting my time if this is not feasible.

Alternatively, I'm also looking for a specific week in Paris this October. Does SFX do any exchanges in Paris?

Jacksparrow - thank you for your post. We are not allowed to promise availability of future space until such time it is available in our system. There very certainly is the possibility, but equally there is no guarantee for a specific week in prime time in Maui. If you were a little flexible on dates, then the odds would be more favorable. We do confirm many members to Maui (and the other islands) every year, but we are not allowed to give odds, because if it doesn't become available... that does not create good customer relations.

With regards to Paris....there are no quality timeshares in Paris. The closest is the Marriott by Disney property about 45 mins outside of Paris! The question is, if going to an amazing city such as Paris... do you really want to be staying about 45 mins outside of the city by Disney World?? Or would you rather stay in a hotel that is central, and immersed in the true Paris experience, and save your week for a quality exchange for another time?

Do you see regularly see HGVC owners exchanging into Marriots Maui Ocean Club Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas? Those are 2 we'd love to get.

.............. HGVC Resorts are great properties, and have great trading-power with SFX. Hilton Hawaiian Village and Kingsland have equally high trading-power. Your timing is also good as we have a great deposit special promotion running right now.

"Do you see regularly see HGVC owners exchanging into Marriott's Maui Ocean Club Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas?"..............I promise I am not being evasive in my answer, but in responding to that question, it would imply possibilities, and as with the same previous response, we are not allowed to that. We would much rather under-promise, and over-deliver.

However, I will say this....... any time you have a super high-demand location (like Maui). And the resort you want to stay at is part of a major brand, and the best quality timeshare in the area, with about a 90% owner usage.... you will need to be very flexible as to your travel dates. This is the same general rule with all exchange companies.
