Resorts in Playa Del Carmen??

Hello,

I was wondering about exchanging a week at the Grand Mayan for something in Playa Del Carmen. I am trying to locate a list of available resorts, but am having problems getting on the SFX website....can you list the available resorts or PM me?

We are really interested in staying there next time rather than at the Mayan Palace. Are all the timeshares there A-I?

Thanks so much for responding - I didn;t expect you to be specific, my main concern is that we do NOT want A-I - but would love to be able to stay in Playa del Carmen insteac of the Maya Riveria.

When I put in my request for 2008 plans, I'll just put down , no A-I, How's that?

Hi Joan - thank you for your questions. As a general rule, we don't accept deposits from A.I. properties. Reason being most Members do not want to stay at them because they feel they can be a poor value. Most of them are around $800 per person per week. So, for a family of four, that's $3,200 for food and drink for a week, and really if you take out the day your arrive and the day you leave, it's more like a net of 5 days. That's an average of $642 per day for a family of four... something is very wrong with this picture. (Maybe I am missing something?).

Oh, and who wants to eat at the same restaurants every day for this wonderful price??? Any taker's out there

Thanks for the information about Mexico and AI's. My thoughts about the AI are similar to what you said.

It's good to know that SFX tries to get no AI on the Mexico resorts.
