Depositing Weeks in SFX

I just recently (read today) joined SFX. In my application I put in my home resort as Kona Hawaiian Resort. This is where my FF points are deeded.

When I go to the "Deposit Your Week" section on my account, Kona Hawaiian Village comes up as the only resort that I can exchange my weeks from.

My question is this:
Does my week that I am exchanging have to come from Kona Hawaiian Village or can it come from any of the other FF resorts that appear on the acceptable list on the SFX website? Can I book a reservation at any FF on the SFX list and exchange it? If so, how would I go about that.

David - thank you for your post; Good question.

If you own with a multi-site development eg. Fairfield, you can deposit your week from any one of the qualifed resorts within the group. In this particular case you advised Kona Hawaiian Village as your home resort, and this was added to your SFX Profile. If you do wish to deposit a week other than your home base, please email or call Customer Service at SFX and advise them you need to add a resort to your profile, and they will take care of that for you, so you may deposit it online.

One important item to keep in mind... Some people think "Aha! Why should I deposit my Hawaii week, when I can reserve a week within my group at Buffalo Breath for half the points of my Hawaii week and still get the same exchange"

Well the reason that's a no-no, assuming that area even qualifies, you would be diminishing your trading power (diminishing your possibilities for exchange). The whole idea is to put all possible odds and assets in your favor for exchange, and Hawaii is way up there for trading power.

You mention that Hawaii is way up there: I was wondering if there was a "best to worst trading power list" of resorts and/or locations? Just curious...
