  • Does SFX specialize in Mexico resorts?

    Hi Mark,

I'm trying to figure out which is the "best" alternative to RCI for exchanging to Mexico. I hate their $199 international exchange fee, which doesn't make sense as they consider Canada "domestic" when it comes to exchange fees. Do you accept many deposits at 5-star or GC Mexican resorts? Do you accept AI resort deposits at all, or do you steer away from those? Would you consider SFX to be my best option other than RCI for exchanging into topnotch Mexican resorts?

    TIA,

    Carol C.

Carol - thank you for your post.

We do indeed receive many Crown and Star rated deposits from some great Mexican resorts. As a general rule, we do not accept deposits from mandatory AI resorts. We do not feel paying around $3,500 for a family of four for "food and drinks" for 7 days is a reasonable value.

Of course I am going to say SFX is your best option over any other exchange company for your exchange to Mexico, if only for one reason... and that is, our international exchange fee is only $129 if you are a Platinum Member, or only $149 if you are a Gold Member.

You will save $50 to $60 US per exchange fee by using SFX.

We hope we can be of service to you.

      Hi Carol,
I have made two easy exchanges to Mexico with SFX, one to Cancun and one to Nuevo Vallarta.
