  • Prime Demand versus High Demand

I am just now buyinng a week at the Morritt's in Grand Cayman, I am going to book a week just as soon as it is in my name (should be this week). If all the "Prime Demand" weeks are gone, should I book a "High Demand"? How will that effect my trading power?

Am a better off with a Late April 07 Prime demand week, or a Fall 07 High Demand?

If I can not book a week at Prime Demand, should I just use DAE?

Thanks for any and all advice.

jgirvine - Apologies for the delay, I missed your post. There is a good probability all prime time is booked. If so, please reserve any week between June through August, that will give you pretty good trading power, as Cayman and Morritt's are very popular.

    Hope this helps...

I am just adding this on this thread because the title seems to be about my question!

Would a Caribbean week for July 4th be treated as a PRIME deposit (as per the web site) ?
How about Caribbean deposit Memorial day or Labor day week?
      TIA

another quick question - as a platinum member, do high weeks receive a bonus week (regular and 'Mexico') with deposit or only Prime?

Hi GrayFal - Thank you for your post. Caribbean, Memorial Week, July 4th Holiday week and Labor Day Week are Prime Time deposits

Only Prime Time Mexico deposits will qualify for bonus weeks. The whole concept behind giving a bonus week is to encourage prime time for which the demand is the highest.

        Hope this helps...

          Thank you Mark.
When I referred to "mexico" I was thinking about the '3 for 1' offer for Prime Time deposits.
So prime weeks get a bonus week with deposit but high weeks do not.

Thanks for clarifying the Caribbean Prime issue.

Well, was able to get Dec. 15th 2007 today at the Morritt's. Will now deposit with SFX and see what happens. Have never traded before. Hope for the UK in April, May of 08....wish us luck.

Looks like that is a "Prime" week.

jgirvine - thank you for your post and your deposit. Although we will gladly accept your deposit, please note Prime-Time in the Caribbean is January-Easter week. The week before Xmas has a low-demand but we do have a percentage of Members who request it. Although not prime time, you do have enough trading power to request the UK April /May 08.

              Hope this helps...

Wait a minute.....I asked FOR THAT WEEK because of the SFX website. http://www.sfx-resorts.com/qsg.html It says Caribbean Prime Demand 12/15 - 12/31. Morritt's is a floating week, I could have tried for any week. So should I cancel and try again?

Well, just got off the phone with SFX. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice, and apoligized, but the website had a typo. He said SFX would honor the bonus week offer. I told him it was not the bonus week issue. I was more concerned with my trading power being hurt. I want England in May of 08 at a nice place. He suggested I upgrade to a Platinum membership. I apoligized but said, no way, right now I don't really feel a warm fuzzy feeling for SFX. This is the first time we have tried to exchange, and I really tried to do reserch to pick the best company to use to trade with. I worry I did not do so well with the company I picked. Dang.

jgirvine, is it worth your while to try to cancel your current week and book another week at the Morritt's?

Also DAE has steady and good inventory in the UK, and HTSE is now affiliated with UKRE (United Kingdom Resort Exchange)

                      Both will do search-firsts.

PS - the SFX Resort Directory is still showing those Dec weeks as prime...

jgirvine - we have not processed your week yet. If you like, we can return it to you and cancel the transaction for the 3 weeks for 1... It's up to you. Please advise.
