  • Resorts which 1bd is more like a studio?

    Mark,

What is SFX policy about resort have 1 bd unit which are so small they are more like a studio??

As an example the King's Creek Plantation has some of the nicest 2 bedroom units I've ever seen. Big, beautiful, great big 50" TV, washer /dryer ect. A exchange into one of these 2 bd units is a 5* exchange.

But, the one bedroom units are basically a studio. Very small, tiny kitchen, 19" TV on top of refrig ect.

I'm asking this because your sell off list includes both 1 & 2 bed units at this resort.

    TIA
    Bill

Hi Bill - Thank you for your post.

Obviously every resorts units are going to be different. Our general rule for a resort area deposit is a minimum of a one bedroom unit, that means there are two sleeping areas that are privately divided (Master bedroom, sleeper sofa in the living room). http://www.kingscreekplantation.com/kcp/townes.cfm

Needless to say people naturally prefer a larger unit when possible. In this particular instance the unit is a "Spring-Break" Holiday week, in a high demand location, and although maybe on the small side, certainly is considered as a desirable week, granted maybe not comfortable for four adults, but certainly for two adults and perhaps a young child.
