Mark,
I considering depositing a week at Big Cedar Wilderness Club over the 4th of July holiday. I am deeded into a 2 bedroom cabin, which only sleeps 6. I can either deposit my cabin week with SFX or I can trade in my cabin for a lodge, which sleeps 8.
The cabins are more exclusive than the lodge units and they are harder to trade into. At Big Cedar Lodge (which is integrated with the Big Cedar Wilderness Club), an equivalent 2 bedroom cabin will set you back over $500/night. In the Bluegreen system it takes 18,000 points/week to get a cabin. It only takes 15,000 points to get into a 2 bedroom lodge - even though it sleeps more people.
For trade value purposes in the SFX system, do you only look at head count per unit, or do you get down to the quality level of the accomodations at the individual resorts?
Obviously, if there is no difference as far as SFX is concerned, I would be better off using a 2 bedroom lodge for trade rather than a 2 bedroom cabin since I get a trade plus an extra 3,000 bluegreen points.
Thanks,
Bill
