New Website Directory - Western Canada

Hi Mark,
I had a closer look at the Canada Directory on the SFX website this evening and I would like to take the liberty of making some suggestions for improvements. Here I go!

Eastern British Columbia:
These 3 Fairmont resorts are correctly located:
Fairmont Vacation Villas at Hillside
Fairmont Vacation Villas at Mountainside
Fairmont Vacation Villas at Riverside

Club Intrawest-Panorama is listed in the Whistler section of your directory, but it is located many many miles away, near Fairmont.

Also at Fairmont for your consideration: Fairmont Vacation Villas at Riverview (II FMD) and Marble Canyon (RCI 7638)

Central British Columbia (Kelowna, on Lake Okanagan):
Manteo Beach Club (currently located in the Fairmont section of your directory but with "Kelowna" in brackets)
The Grand Okanagan Resort, misplaced in your directory – it is not in Whistler, but many many miles away in Kelowna.
Also in Kelowna you should consider including Bellasera Tuscan Villas and Piazza (II BVP)

Vancouver Island (this would be a new section):
You should consider including Aviawest Parkside Victoria Resort and Spa (RCI 7584), Worldmark Victoria (RCI 7595), and Aviawest at the Rosewood Victoria Inn (RCI 6789) in the Canada directory.

And what about Pacific Shores Resort and Spa? It is listed as a choice for placing a request (“Canada/Victoria/Pacific Shores) but it does not appear in your directory.

There are lots of SFX members who are interested in exploring Western Canada, and having more choices in a more accurate directory would be helpful for them.

Any news about correcting the Western Canada errors in the SFX directory? Or about adding any new resorts?

My suggestion would be to delete the Fairmont heading and change it to Central BC. Then put Club Intrawest-Panorama, all the Fairmonts, Kelowna TSs like The Grand Okanagan Resort and Manteo Beach Club. Even if they aren't that near each other, the central BC would be much better than listing than with Whistler, which is very much an area to itself.

SFX would want members to know somehow that Fairmont Hot Springs is 300 miles away from Kelowna and a 6 hour + drive.

Thank you everyone for your input here, it is appreciated. The current directory is still in Beta Version 1. 3.

1.4 will be out shortly and will correct the Canada situation and will have more resorts listed.

Hi eal - our current site is a beta-site, and the new one is being launched this coming April. So I doubt if there will be any changes made to the current site.
