hgvc/ sfx scenario

Hi Mark
Need to understand some basic sFX procedures for exchange with HGVC
?
Heres my scenario-
i have 7000 HGVC Waikola resort points -
I want to exchange into Maarriott timber lodge or Newport Coast - mid July
Do I just transfer the points over?
I understand SFX will honor your exchange for 2 years ---- right?
(Im unsure yet on as to when I want to go on vacation -
This summer or next)
Or.....
Do I need to make a weeks reservation first-
If so the only weeks left available are Nov Dec - except txgvng , xmas , new year


If I make the reservation week for Nov or Dec-of this year
1)Do you still honor the 2 year policy?
2)Do you think there is a possibility for an exchange with NC or Timber?

Benjamin - thank you for your post. You would need to make a reservation at your resort to equal a week in at least a one bedroom unit. You would then go online to your SFX account, login and deposit your week with us.

We always honor the 2 year policy. You actually have from the day you deposit your week up to 2 years past the check-in date of the week you deposited. So, if you deposited your week now, you can go from April 28, 07 to December 2009... about 2 yrs - 8 months.

To be frank with you, this late about 3 months notice for either property/location in prime July, unfortunately the odds are not very good. Premium Summer in high quality resorts are usually requested around 10-12 months in advance. That doesn't mean to say you can't get in with less notice.

Other considerations... Banking the 2007 week is still an option giving you at least a couple of years to use it.

Banking an 2008 week... will qualify you for the 3 Weeks for 1 Special Offer.
