What are bonus weeks?

Okay, I realize that this is a question that probably has a very obvious answer, but I would appreciate if someone could humor me.

SFX gives bonus weeks for certain deposits and depositing early, but what are these bonus weeks? Is it just a chance for me to take another week without giving a week deposit? If so, what is the exchange fee for this bonus week? How are these different from the "sell-off" weeks that are posted under the "Specials" on SFX's website?

A Bonus Week is an additional week of vacation above and beyond your exchange week at very deeply discounted rate.

SFX offers these additional vacation incredible deals as incentive for our Members to deposit high-value weeks from high demand resorts in prime time far in advance. It allows us to focus on harvesting the cream of the resort inventory at a faster pace. This helps eleviate the human factor of procrastination in depositing weeks late which slows down an exchange companies ability to book Members for space way in advance.

These weeks are determined to be over-supply or may be from a source such as a developer that has an abundance of inventory from a new property or new phases at an existing resort, as well as other sources.

With most other exchange companies, any bonus weeks offered are last minute left-overs typically cannot be booked more than around 60 days in advance.

With SFX you can request your Bonus Week rather than taking a left-over, and you can request it up to one year in advance. A much greater value than other companies.

Depending on how soon you respond to our promotions, the rate starts at $399 for the whole week at a Crown or 5 Star rated resort. The approximate value is typically at least $1,400 for the week.

Our Vacation Sell-off list are weeks we have available in our system typically up to 60 days in advance that we have no requests for from our Members. So these are short term availabilities vs. our promotional bonus weeks that are long term. From a company perspective, as it gets closer to a check in date, the space becomes a higher-risk relative to loss, so these weeks are made available to our Members for additional vacations and can be booked in real-time when you login to your SFX account.
