We are wanting to take a family vacation to Hawaii for two weeks over the Christmas Holidays for 2009. I will have four units banked and would like to get a two bedroom unit for each week, but would consider two one bedroom units in the same resort. I can start looking 18 months out, correct, I am a Platinum? What are my chances of getting something for on week or both weeks?

Hi Riverdees05 - As a Platinum Member you an place your request up to 18 months in advance. We cannot (not allowed) to quote any odds of getting any space. Space availability is very different every year with all exchange companies. There are many variables, the biggest one being exchange companies do not know when and if members are going to deposit space.

We can tell you historically the odds are always the lowest when you are requesting premium major Holiday weeks for 5 star resorts in premium globally demanded locations like Hawaii. In this case it's two consecutive holiday weeks, Xmas and New Year weeks. Weeks like these are the most demanded and the least available. We would rather tell you the odds are low, and pleasantly surprise you, rather than tell you the odds are good and set a false high expectation.

To increase the odds, be open to two different resorts, and possibly two different islands. By all means place the request as far in advance as possible and let's go to work for you.
