I would just like to make a suggestion. Would it be possible as a Platinum member to get monthly updates on available timeshares that have no match? I know that we will not be able to search on line, but it would be nice to see where there is availability. I am no asking that you give specific information, but just the general area and how many weeks are available in the area. I think as a member it would be a service that is desired since online checking is not possible. The sell off list is great, but I would like to know what is available prior to it making to the sell off list to give more time to schedule airline and other activities. You have done a great job answering everyone's questions and providing information, but I would like to see better communication to the members on an official basis. Not everyone visits this site and any updates would be appreciated.

Ron, here's what I saw on their webpage just today:
"Starting in June 2007, we will be sending periodic request updates to your email. Please be sure your email address is current. "

I believe this is in regards to submitted requests. I am quite curious as to what these 'request updates' will contain. Simple cryptic messages like "No match at this time"? Or something more descriptive like "Attempt to match with Plantation Village failed for x timeframe" or something to that effect.

I think I know what you want tho and quite a few of us would LOVE to see online/email availability updates but I really don't think they are going to do that. I hope I'm wrong! Mark?

Hi Ron - Thank you for your post.

In understanding our business model, here is the perspective.

We are a Boutique Exchange Service specializing in the highest rated timeshare resorts in the highest demanded locations. If you figure maybe 80%of the timeshare world wants 20% of the best space... that top layer of 20% is the layer we work in. Industry-wide, the Demand is always greater than the Supply for this premium space.

With other exchange companies, the only space you see online is space they have no requests for from their members. (That doesn't make it undesirable). We call that the 80%. The 20% always has a queue and as soon as those best weeks get deposited, they are matched immediately and booked, they never drop down into the 80% bucket... and you accordingly don't see them. Keep in mind, the higher the quality of resort, the lesser the trading activity from members trading out, because what they have is so qualitative they would rather use than trade much of the time. This is more so indicative within the first 5 years of their ownership. After that they are more inclined to try different places as an exchange.

We only display up to 60 days out on our Sell-off list as the closer it gets to the arrival dates of space, the higher the risk of the space to the company. Specifically to your question, displaying beyond that window doesn't work with the model or the dynamics of supply vs demand factors.
