How soon should we deposit for trade power?

We are buying Fairshare Plus points and are in the process of closing. We are definitely going to be stuck with our points at a late time of year, as the closing is still going to take another six weeks or so. Would that be too late to deposit holiday weeks, if we can still grab them?

Also, what about those of us who want to travel only in slow times of year? I noticed you don't take deposits for the fall and winter seasons at Disneyworld? I am talking about November through January 31st. Those are the most often traveled times of year for those of us who are empty nesters or retired. Do you still have availability within the system for bonus weeks at that time.

Shopgirl - thank you for your post. At the point your purchase closes, there will be only 3 Holiday weeks left in the year. (Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas). If you can still book them and deposit... that would be great, and if not, it's not a problem as we will accept other dates that are not prime time. Bonus Weeks are available too in that period. As with any space, there is more availability in the lesser demanded peak-seasons than prime demanded time. Even if we do not have immediate existing deposits let's say for the Orlando area during low-demand seasons, we have a number of resources via our network of strategic alliances where we can typically access the space.

Although every exchange company emphasizes targeting for prime time deposits (because it's the most demanded, therefore the least available space), we also accept high-quality resort deposits throughout the year too.

Because of the demographic profile of SFX Members, we have many Members who have reached a point in their life where they are empty-nesters and have the time and discretionary disposable income to travel when they want, and most of them want to avoid the peak demanded times that are very crowded, especially when schools are in Holiday session.
