  • Summit at Massanutten question

    Hi Mark,

I am new to the forums and to timesharing. I recently bought a floating week at the Summit at Massanutten. I am going to reserve my 2008 week with them, so I can deposit it with SFX. According to your Seasons Grid, prime time for Virginia is from 6/1 to 9/30 and holiday weeks.
So my question is if I can get Presidents' day week or Thanksgiving or Memorial day week, would you consider that as prime time and accept my deposit?

    Thanks

    Neeta

Hi Neeta - thank you for your post, and Welcome to TSforums. Actually for that region, a Memorial, Labor Day or Thanksgiving week has higher demand than the President's Day week. Also, any Summer week is also prime for trading power..... and yes, we would gladly accept your week at the Summit at Massanutten.

If you are not yet a member, we invite you to join.

You are also in time and qualify for our current 3 for 1.

      Mark,
Thanks for the quick reply. Another question -
The deed is not yet recorded in my name. Can I have the seller book my week for me, join SFX as a member and deposit the week, and then transfer that into my SFX account later?

      Thanks

Neeta - absolutely. Please ask the seller to enter in the comments box of the application that he will be transferring the membership into your name in the near future. When this event takes place, we will simply remove their name from the account and add yours.

        Thanks,

          Mark,

It seems like the seller is not comfortable joining SFX (he has never heard of it). In that case, how can I use the week that is booked in his name?

          Thanks

Neeta - How soon do you anticipate closing your escrow?

            Thanks,

The closing company says that the courthouse can take as long as 3-4 weeks and then the resort says they need 2 weeks for my name to show on the account, once they have the new deed

Neeta - It will be much easier once you have closed escrow, to then become a member. You will still be able to take advantage of the 3 for 1 offer. If the current owner isn't at a comfort level with the situation, then best to let it go at their speed, and join us at C of E.

                Thanks,

                  Thanks Mark,

I too think that's the best approach.
