I know somewhere I have read that typically owners are allowed to deposit weeks one year in advance. What trend has SFX typically seen for Grand Mayan and Royal Resorts deposits?

zdxlc9p6 - Thank you for your post. With those and other properties, I would say that still most owners tend to deposit their weeks on average around 9 months in advance.

One of the biggest triggers with all exchange companies for member deposits is when the maintenance fees are due. Industry-wide, many people don't pay that bill until they have to, which is usually around Nov/Dec/Jan. unfortunately that slows the speed of deposits down, which causes others to wait for their exchanges.

There are a number of resorts that bulk-bank their weeks with us (as they do with RCI and I.I.), which places inventory more efficiently into the system.

There are other factors too, such as procrastination or simply people get too busy with their everyday lives to act on depositing early, and leave it to last minute, which of course isn't a great help for anyone.

Items that can speed up the process of Members making deposits are any promotional specials that exchange companies have. With SFX, our Bonus Week offers have expiration dates that are an attempt to have Members deposit early rather than late. But still, the average is around 9 months in advance.
