Mark, I am anxiously awaiting trying SFX with all the good things I have read. I am looking at a prime week I was told you will accept durring spring break. Since I can book at a year out I will be booking this week soon. I know you had a program for bonus weeks late last year. Will you be offering bonus weeks again? Does this take place throughout the year? Thanks so much for the info.

We will be coming out with a new Special Offer for 2007 deposits soon. We are still discussing the details, but it will include a Bonus Week and other benefits.

Just joined SFX and I'm anxiously awaiting the 2007 Special Offer, however I have a few questions regarding bonus weeks given for a deposit.

If bonus weeks are offered on 2007 deposits (2:1 or 3:1), will their expiration dates for travel be Dec 31, 2006? or Dec 31 2007?

I understand that you may sometimes extend your exchange week beyond the original expiration date, but can you also extend bonus weeks?

I was unable to take advantage of the bonus week offer for depositing a 2006 week because of the end of year expiration. We're expecting our third child soon and won't be traveling anywhere for the rest of the year, had to do all of our travel for '06 early. Now trying to decide what to do with 2007 weeks. Depositing them and receiving bonus weeks in exchange would be wonderful, but not if the expiration is for Dec 31, 2006.

1. The bonus weeks offered for 2007 deposits will expire on 12/31/07 for all 2007 deposits received during 2006. For example... if our 07 promo is launched around May of 2006 and we receive your 07 deposit in the month of May 06... you will have from May 06 to 12/31/07 in which to use it... About 1 1/2 years.

2007 deposits that are received during 2007 will have just one year to use their week as of the day we receive their regular deposited week.

2. Exchange weeks can be extended another year with the deposit of another week. Unfortunately bonus weeks cannot be extended. The good news is, you will probably receive another bonus week with your newly deposited week.

That explains it perfectly Now I just have to get my 2007 weeks set up during your prime travel windows so that I can get a bonus week when deposited.

The bummer for me and I'm sure others are in the same boat.

I like to deposit Thanksgiving week. I can only book my week 9 months in advance. So I'll always be booking the same year as my deposit.
Or worse yet, if I book Xmas or New Years week. I'll be past all the bonus programs in SFX.

For others that might book Presidents week, they could book in June 06, 9 months in advance, yet they will get a much better offer than I will.

Wouldnt it be better to have promos that are based on how early you deposit? Isn't that the whole point of having the bonus weeks, to get you to deposit early?

Hi GrayFal - Your bonus week will expire on 12/31/2007. You have from now and till that date to use it. If you waited till May you would have from May 06 to 12/31/07 to use it. By doing it now, you added about a 3 month window of opportunity to use it.

GrayFal - as soon as your deposited week is verified with your resort, at that point your SFX account will be credited with the exchange week and the bonus week... then you can place requests against them.

I don't own the company... but wish I did !!! If you saw expansion plans for SFX, you would see what I mean.

Hi Dave - didn't see this one until now.

The trigger mechanism is based on how early you deposit your week, and not when the week starts. For example...

If you deposit a 2007 week with us in 2006.... you have until 12/31/07 in which to use the bonus week. Someone who deposits their 07 week in Feb 06 obviously has more time to use their bonus week than someone who waites until April to deposit their week. But that is the Members choice.

For members who procrastinate longer and don't deposit their 07 week until 07comes around... then they have exactly one year in which to use their bonus week as of the day we receive their week deposit.

So, as in the second paragraph... you can have up to almost two years to use your bonus week... and certainly more than one year. The biggest challenge exchange companies have is getting their Members to deposit early, as that is the source and life-blood of the system and fulfilling exchange requests.

Lets say I deposit my 2007 Thanksgiving week in Late Feb 07. 9 months in advance. I get a bonus week for $499 and its only good until 12/31/07 which gives me 10 months to use my bonus week? Previously I had 12 months from my deposit date.

Another member deposits Week 7 2007 in Nov 2006 .. Which is only 3 months in advance . They will typically get a $399 bonus week and they have 15 months to use the bonus week?

It seems that we have a decent amount of HGVC owners and many of us cannot deposit until 9 months out.. and this is not by choice or procrastination.

You will have until Feb. 2008 in which to use your bonus week... one-year. For those who deposit their 2007 within 2007 will have "one-year" as of the date we receive your deposit in which to use your week. So, if in April 2007 you deposit a prime 2007 week with SFX...... you will have till April 2008 to use your bonus week.

This is correct. However... you could if you wanted to in November 2006 reserve a July week in Orlando or Hawaii in 2007 and get it at the lower price and still have great trading power... right?
