  • Grand Mayan, Los Cabos picket problems

    Just read on TripAdvisors.com that an American couple was assaulted by picketers in front of Grand Mayan, Los Cabos and would not let anyone into the hotel and back to their units. Police just looked the other way.

    Your comments and how are you handling current SFX people that will be heading there?

    I believe local problems are a bit beyond the scope of responsibility for an exchange company. Perhaps a better choice would be to contact the Mayan resorts group to see what they are going to do.

      Yes but SFX's voice may be heard by the management folks and an individuals ignored.

        On the WorldMark forum, an owner posted that he arrived (to check in for his exchange) at Grand Mayan Los Cabos on Friday. He stayed 24 hours and was moved to Cabo Azul. He said some guests were moved to El Presidente.

          TonyG is correct, these unfortunate matters are beyond the scope of an exchange company, and an exchange company's voice is not heard any louder than that of individuals both Owners and Guests. These are strictly local matters that cause pain to everyone.

          For what it's worth, I hear the parties are having intensive negotiations with the anticipation of a speedy resolution.

            Updates on the Grand Mayan Los Cabos
