  • Mark @SFX response time 3/27 - 3/31

    Dear Viewers -

I would just like to advise, my response time will be very minimal at best during the period of 3/27 through 3/31/06 as I will be part of the SFX Management Team exhibiting at the ARDA Convention in Las Vegas.

ARDA stands for ... American Resort Developer's Association. This is the biggest trade show for the industry held every year.

Any posts not responded to next week, will have responses by the following week. Thank you in advance...

I believe it is only open to the trade. It will be great exposure for us, as there are around 3,000-4,000 executive management to CEO's from resorts and leading hotel brands from around the world that attend. It will generate many new vacation opportunities for us and of course our Members.

          In that case,

can you try to get more European resorts or hotels?

I take 2 - 3 trips a year to Asia and China, how about some in that area?

Have fun! Trade show in Las Vegas is always fun, just don't loose too much and stay away from those tempting buffets!

I wonder where Mark and the SFX, or the other people in the trade stay?

Which timeshare in Las Vegas will be considered "the" place to stay for them?

Since the convention is at the Venetian, I would guess Mark and most of the other attendees are staying there. Its a convenience issue, and also there are hospitality suites, etc.

                      Jill,
Many of us timeshare to be able to have more space, cooking facilities, etc. These guys (and even in this day and age it is still mainly guys) aren't going to be cooking...there's continental coffee or better every morning, and working lunches...then there's Las Vegas, and also parties at night...

I just thought they would use this opportunity to experience some of the timeshares they work with, so they can be better informed. Taking a tour of the resort and looking at the pictures or descriptions of the resorts are not the same as actually staying there to see the pros and cons of the resort's operation.

Do you really think that the resorts would treat travel trade professionals the same way they treat 'normal' exchangers?

One of the convention or pre-convention activities includes a tour, or "look-see" of all of the resorts in the Vegas Valley (or it used to, anyway).
