Less than impressed with responses.....

According to a TUG poster "Mark of SFX will answer all your questions. He is a straight shooter and very responsive."

I would beg to differ at this point.

I posted 12/22/08. I still have not received ANY response other than we will get back to you by Friday (which has come and gone). OK I understand that the holiday was in there, and there was likely some down time.

Mark also asked me to email him privately, which I did Jan 02/09. Still NO reply.

3 weeks for response to a post, and 9 days for response to a PM is NOT responsive in my opinion.

I am hoping Mark redeems himself, but I am skeptical.

Did I do something to offend someone?

I do not even know why we allowed this post if you have not followed directions, You asked a question on Jan 02 and Mark responded 5 hours later requesting you PM him your SFX id so he could help you. If you posted prior to that then that might have been over looked which is rare or he might have just just combined both posts by wanting to look at your account. This is the last post like this that will be posted here. Please follow Marks request and send him your information if you have not done so. Please in the future use the PM System as he has requested.

Two separate issues in my view but a valid post that SHOULD be allowed. They do not reference personal information.

Ok Sorry I did not know that you sent Mark a PM, I will say that if I were on vacation for 2 weeks for Christmas and New Years that I might be swamped .

No Vandesa, it is not normal to have to wait this long for a response from SFX, they are normally very good at responding to questions. I have to admit that there are few things that annoy me more than the promise of a response by a defined date and no response actually being forthcoming. Even if an answer to the question wasn't available within the offered timeframe, I would expect some contact if only to keep me advised. That, to me, is simply good customer service.
I certainly accept that the holiday period intervened, and it is possible that Mark has been snowed under with work. I suggest giving him some more time in this instance, but certainly do not feel that you were wrong to raise the point.

I really am SHOCKED, completely SHOCKED, over how I have just been jumped all over, both here (I have only posted 10 careers post here and I been blasted on about 5 of those posts), and on TUG (where I normally post).

I was directed here by TUG to get an answer.

Well all I have received is criticism about asking about Mark's responsiveness. Yes I know Christmas and New Year were in there, but I have waited IMHO a very long time, with NO response. Past even when Mark said he would reply.

hmmmm =3 times referring to TUG in one post?

I do not feel you have been attacked; as a matter of fact I have supported your query all the way through as I feel you had asked an honest question and had not received a positive or negative response to that post. I consider myself very vendor nuetral in most instances.

But you know what?

THIS IS NOT TUG.

We are timeshareforums (TS4Ms) and we our honored to have representation and participation from vendors such as SFX here that other forums and BBS boards do not have the privilege of having.


I am sorry that you are feeling put upon by responses to this thread but you also are carrying baggage that we don't know about from places that we are not associated with.

First off let me say there was a communication problem. You had not said you PMed Mark in your first posts but did say you did PM him after I posted. After you said that I did say sorry and that should have ended it but your still carrying on. Let me ask you this , You have not posted here only had 5 posts prior, Would you not be upset if you saw that One of your Ask Reps was getting posts that kept pushing for an answer from a new member that has not contributed to this site at all? Mark is here to help everyone just cut him some slack it was the holidays trust me he will get to you. We are a very friendly bunch here you just do not know us yet.
