    Hi Mark,

Is SFX still contracted with HGVC? Considering a request but not interested in spinning my wheels...so to speak.

    Thanks!

      Thanks,
Ok. Tried that...didn't work. I am Plat until 4/2010. Week I am requesting is late May/Early June 2010-it wants me to renew my membership-and then options are 3yr and 5yr. How much is 1 yr?

Next question, if I don't renew as Plat-does my membership just revert to Gold? If I choose that-does that mean I can request this transaction 12 mos out instead of the 15 mos and I won't be prompted to renew to Plat?

      Please advise.....

Hi StressCadet - thank you for your post. We have eliminated a one year membership, because the value wasn't as good as the three or five year plans. For example... one of main benefits of Platinum, is being able to place a request up to 18 months in advance vs. 12 months on Gold. If you had a one year membership, you couldn't request past 12 months without renewing your membership again. As with the other exchange companies, your membership must be current through the dates of the exchange being requested. With the three or five year plans, you are saving money.

The 3 year is only $199... and in addition to being able to take advantage of the 18 month request placement, you still get free one size upgrades, $100 off each Sell-off week you book, $20 off your bonus week bookings. You can request first. The value far outweighs the cost.

If you don't renew your Platinum, then you would revert to Gold at such time your Platinum membership expires. You could then place a request up to 12 months in advance as a Gold Member.
        Hope this helps...

Your explanation for eliminating the one year Plat plan does make sense however,

To be clear on the balance of your explanation, you are saying....I CANT make a request for 6/2010 without renewing the Plat? "At such a time" is 2 mos 4/2010 before I'd like to vacation 06/2010 and we all know I'd hardly stand a chance to match a week in less than 60 days before check in.

One option is to simply renew your Platinum at this time. It will add another 3 years to your current expiration date and expire in 2013. This will allow you to actively request up to 18 months in advance.

If you choose not to renew, another option is in June 2009 ask Member Services to cancel your Platinum membership and downgrade to Gold. You will then be able to place your request 12 months in advance (June 2010).

            Hope this helps...

I was on the phone with a counsler March 3, and was told 3 year was $299, and 5 year $399, so I opted for the 5 year. Was I over charged?

Apologies - I misquoted earlier. The 3 year Membership is $299, 5 year is $399.

                  Thanks,
