  • Any resorts along the TX coastal area?

I am new to this board and am loving it! I've learned so much in such a short time. This is the first I've heard of SFX and have been to your website. I know your directory listing on your website is not complete, so I was wanting to know if you had any resorts along the TX coastal area or nearby. I am considering doing an exchange for 2007 (after hearing about your upcoming promo), but we are wanting to go somewhere in TX with our exchange (it's closer for us than FL). Also, I have Bluegreen, and if I'm reading everything correct, you only accept Charleston and Miami (Surf Solara).

It's funny how you never hear about these independent exchange companies through RCI or Bluegreen - they make it seem as if you have to use their companies to do any exchanging.

    Thanks for your help!

SFX wouldn't accept my Gulf Coast resort for deposit because of low demand for the area.

Chris - thank you for your post.

Although we don't officially accept deposits from Texas, we do have access to timeshare resort inventory in Texas for those who wish to exchange there. The reason we don't accept deposits in that area is simply because we virtually have no Member demand for that region. We typically specialize in areas of national and international demand.

Re Bluegreen.... Charleston, Miami, Orlando (Fountains) Ft. Myers (Mariner's Boathouse).

      Hope this helps...

Hey Mark, thanks again for your quick response.

Unfortunately I wrote a very lengthy message last night, only to find it gone today - so here it goes again... Can you tell me which Tx coastal resorts you have access. I am seriously considering depositing with you but want to know what is possibly available.

Also, can you tell me which the following has the best trading power (all things being equal): Falls Village, Branson, Mo, Wk 31, 1bd; Solara Surfside, Fl, Jan 15 - March 30 or June 15-30, 1bd; or Lodge Alley Inn, S.C., June 15-30, 1bd. If I put my request in early enough with BlueGreen I could probably get any of the above. Just trying to maximize my trading by with SFX. Thanks for all your help!

(I am resending this message - due to the fact that it got deleted yesterday. It was originally posted under the thread entitled, "Any resorts along TX coastal area?")

Chris - unfortunately there is one 5 star rated resort, and that's in Galveston. There are other resorts with lower ratings. You may want to peruse other resort directories you may have access to, just to get an idea of what is in those locations. You may decide you are will to accept a resort that does not have a Crown or 5 Star rating. Subject to availability, we can access any resort you may see in other resort directories.

We suggest take a look at the regions resorts, then decide what resorts will be acceptable to you, then place your request with us for the exchange.

Solara Surfside, Fl, Jan 15 - March 30 would have the highest trading power with us out of the resorts and dates you listed.
