    Extra Guest Certificates $39 Free!
    Optional Room Upgrade $149 Free!
    Estimated Exchange Fees: $337 $129

When exactly did the fees go up?
TravelSFO - thank you for your post. If you would be kind enough to private message me your name and account number, I can look into this for you. The page should be pointing to the new pricing not the old. If there is an error, then we will remedy it on Monday.

I would like to reiterate... our fees have not increased in four years, while other companies have. Even with our increase, when you add the membership fee and the exchange fee, we are still "less" money than the majors. Also... when you factor in our Bonus Weeks that can be requested up to one year in advance, instead of left overs 60 days or less, and lower pricing... we still offer the best value for money. I will also find out on Monday when the increases took effect.

    Thanks,

Thanks for your active participation, Mark.

I strongly believe this is not an issue with my account but with the SFX website. There are various issues, including email notifications not working for the past few months, which makes me think that perhaps you need to look for a new web developer. (I have a few excellent candidates that just so happen to be my friends...)

What this boils down to is that members were not notified of any pricing changes. SFX rates are now higher than that of II and almost as high as RCI which charges $179 per domestic exchange.

I have sent TravelSFO a private message as well as the above post a couple of days ago, and still have not heard back. As soon as I do hear back, I will be able to post additional information which will cover incorrect information stated in their post about our pricing.

                Mark,

I'm not exactly sure what you are stating is incorrect about what I posted concerning SFX pricing.

When I posted the information about the pricing that I saw on 6/05, that was what it was. It was a copy and paste from the SFX-resorts website after initiating an on-going search.

After initiating another search today I now see that the pricing has been corrected.

Perhaps I was making this up? Or, perhaps your staff corrected this information after I reported it?

Further, I see that SFX has finally posted an announcement (dated 06/2010) displayed on the Member Home page about the pricing change. I want to state that I think members should be informed of this change if not before the change occurs at least AT the time the change occurs. This did not happen and I am disappointed.

I posted to this thread initially to find out what the current pricing was and then tried to point out that the pricing was incorrect on your site - and altogether missing in other locations on your site. I feel like I am being called a liar and I don't like it.

TravelSFO - thank you for your reply. As mentioned earlier, if you would be kind enough to private message me your name and SFX account number, I will gladly explain in more detail about misinformation stated about our pricing. (It is not what you have stated in this post).

Is there any particular reason you haven't forwarded the information to me?

To help avoid dissemination of incorrect factual information, which may harm TimeshareForum’s.com, their viewers and SFX, we would like to correct information stated by the poster.

On June 2, 2010 the poster stated…. “SFX rates are now higher than that of II and almost as high as RCI which charges $179 per domestic exchange”.

This is extremely misleading and misrepresenting our rates structure as they do not disclose all the fees required to transact with an exchange company. Although we had explained in earlier posts that even with the increases we are still a greater value and less cost, they may have not read the information. Our pricing is either very competitive and in “most cases” lower.

So… to set the record straight with accurate information, here are some examples…
(In the examples, we used an average 5 year membership rate, except with I.I., as we could not find the price of their 5 year membership). CLICK HERE.

                    Thank you...

Im really thinking of giving you a try. I have an active 5 year membership with II so I would be paying more for next years trade but I want to try SFX. I just wish you had a way to do the exchanging online so I could choose based on availability. I like to look at all vacation resorts available within a few month range to make my trades. I'll be making my decision next week.

Brisket Lover - thank you for your reply. I fully understand your point. In this specific situation, you have pre-paid a 5 year membership with I.I. If you book an exchange, you will pay $149 or $164 for your exchange. If you were an SFX Gold Member, the fee is $189. Even though your overall costs are higher with I.I., you would be paying $40-$25 more for your exchange with a Gold Membership.

Although it could be argued... the Bonus Week you would be getting from SFX is of a far greater value than the $40-$25 addition. Which would more than justify the $25 - $40 difference.

This can be somewhat subjective.... Do you feel getting another week for a vacation at around $399-$499 that has a retail value of $1,500 +/- that you can request up to a year in advance like an exchange more than mitigates the $40-$25 difference ? If you can get away for another week, the answer is obvious. If you can't... then it's a moot point.

But what if I could get approval to give you a FREE 1 year Platinum Membership? Your exchange fee would be around the same as you were going to pay anway, PLUS you would have all the other benefits of Platinum which will included in addition to the above BONUS WEEK...
