It seems the bonus week inventory is not as good as when TPI was independently owned. Are some of the bonus weeks being given to Interval Interntaional and/or rented?

Hot Deals "Bonus Week" Inventory

There are currently hundreds of weeks available for use by our bonus week holders, the available inventory changes moment-to-moment due to new reservation bookings and cancellations and we encourage our members with bonus weeks to check the availability often, keeping in mind the specific lead time for your bonus week reservations.
TPI considers unreserved inventory with arrival within 60 days more difficult to confirm as many folks book further in advance and can't travel at short notice so, in order to avoid deposited inventory going unused, TPI's exchange inventory is made available for rent under our Hot Deals listings at 60 days prior to arrival.

The bonus week inventory is likely to be reduced since the TPI's exchange inventory is made available for rent under the Hot Deals listings at 60 days prior to arrival. The bonus weeks can only be booked 45 days prior to arrival. If we cannot find any week we like in the leftover, our bonus weeks are really useless. Without the bonus weeks, we get better deal from RCI (e.g. better regular week trade). I think the unreserved inventory should be listed under the Hot Deals listings at 40 days prior to arrival, so that we have 5 days to pick the bonus weeks before others rent them.

Is the TPI's exchange inventory being shared with Interval Interntaional?

Bonus Week Use

TPI has opened up exchange inventory for rent at 60 days prior to arrival for many years, this is not a new policy but part of our on-going need to manage the unreserved exchange weeks we have that are in danger of going unused. We currently have hundreds of weeks available for our members who have bonus week certificates, the inventory changes throughout the business day as new reservations are confirmed, existing reservations are cancelled and new inventory deposits are verified (we do take deposits at short-notice to highly requested resorts and destinations). I would encourage you to call TPI at 800-365-7617 Mon-Fri 7am-6pm PT or Sat 8am-4:30 pm PT when you are ready to confirm your Bonus Week reservation. The TPI agent has access to the up-to-the-minute available inventory and will be happy to assist you in booking your bonus week.
TPI and II are "sister" companies under Interval Leisure Group. Our exchange inventories, systems, programs, member data bases, operations and call centers are separate from each other and operate independantly of the other.
