  • Bonus Weeks?

How do we use Bonus Weeks?

What are the associated fees to use one?

Why do I not show a Bonus week in my account when I deposited a year in advance?

    Thanks.

    Bonus Weeks

    Hello.
We have different types of "bonus weeks" so how to use them will depend on the actual type of bonus week you have. You can call me directly and I can give you that information.

I will need your account information to look up to see if you were entitled to a bonus week.

Please contact me directly so I can take care of this for you!

    Thanks,
    Marcie

How about a written explanation or a link to your bonus week information? Please.

And do bonus weeks work within the 45 day window? Is the bonus week for anything without the season and size upgrades?

Is the bonus week restricted in the size or season of your deposit?

I used a Bonus Week in Jan. and the cost was $149 (now it's $169) and the rez. had to be made w/in 45 days.

A full explanation of ALL the possible bonus weeks would really help, Marcie.

I just got off the phone with a VC at TSI and was asking about the bonus weeks. This is what she told me.

            1. Any week deposited with them prior to 3/1/07 at least 120 days prior to check in qualifies for the bonus weeks.

            2. Your bonus weeks match your deposit. You deposit a 1BR you get bonus weeks for a 1 BR, etc.

            3. They don't care what season the week is in.

            4. Your bonus week can be used for booking within a 45 day window of travel and it costs $169 to use it.

              Thanks, this certainly helps.

Are you saying that their bonus weeks can be used ONLY within a 45 day travel window ? If so, this would be essentially a last minute sell off of unwanted inventory, not really a bonus week, am I right ?

                  Thanks for the information

So the offer for two bonus weeks is still valid? The other thread says offer expired. Was she clear about if the paperwork is done by the owner before the deadline is good enough or if it actually has to be confirmed by the resort before 3/1?

And was it clear that any available exchange within the 45 day window was available for bonus week exchanges?

                  Thanks.

The offer on the other thread stated the expiratrion date was 3/1//07 which is tomorrow. No that was not mentioned specifically, but I assumed it was paperwork submitted by the owner (but we all know what happens when you ASSUME).

My understanding of what she said regarding using them was travel within 45 days. I did not ask specifically but I believe the upgrade charge applies if you want a unit larger than what you deposited.

I hope someone asks the rep tonight all of the exact particuliars as she was a little vague at times and I had to pull each answer out of her. When I called I asked for our forum rep Marcie, but she was not available so I ended up speaking with Mebal (Spelling?).

I just spoke to Jason at TPI. I left a message for Marcie.

Jason stated the following and I told him I would post the information. He had no idea who timeshareforums is....so I am not sure what is going on with communications at TPI. I mentioned your name Lawren so I hope you get some credit out of it.

                      1) The bonus week promotion is for one bonus week for one deposit. He said the promo code is 0702EXNL. I asked him about the two bonus weeks program and he acted as though he never heard of it. IMHO that is BS....if you have a promo with dates then stick with it which is the honorable thing to do.

                      2) You do not have to be a paid member to get the bonus week. Just make a deposit by sending in the owner paperwork on or before 3/1/07 and you get a bonus week. It does not have to be verified by your resort before the date. However they must verify the week before you can use your bonus week.

                      3) TPI does not have seasons any more. No red, white, blue, green, yellow, prime, non-prime, etc. Anything you deposit can trade for anything available in their exchange system.

                      4) The bonus week can be used for anything available for exchange within the next 45 days. He clarified anything as long as it is within 45 days!!!!

                      5) TPI's fax number is 949-448-5149.

Just reporting what I was told. I asked the question more than once and repeated his answers just to be clear.

                        Conversation with Jason

                        In response to your post:
                        1. 2 bonus weeks for your one week of deposit vs. 1 bonus week for your one week of deposit: We did have a promo that ran until 2/28 that if you deposited your week by 2/28 you would receive 2 bonus weeks for your one week. We now have another promo, that for now is ongoing, if you deposit your week 120 days in advance you will get 1 bonus week. Due to all the confusion, if there is someone the tried to deposit their week prior to today, I will honor the 2 bonus week promo.

                        4. regarding the 45 day out, Yes, anything on our website under the last minute exchange list can be booked with your voucher, ANYTHING....we can allow up to 60 days however you need to call in for that and get approvel. The other great thing about these certificates, is the IF you are unable to use them, we can extend them for you. There is a one time courtesy extension of 6 months after that you can buy yourself another year for only $109.00.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can clarify for you

                        Kind Regards,
                        Marcie

Thank you Marcie for the clarifications. I know we ask a lot of questions but now you know we are all crazy about our vacations and timeshares so we turn over every rock and look under it.

I have deposited two weeks with TPI as we discussed. I am finally going independent and breaking away from RCI a bit. Thanks for all your help.

                              Bonus weeks

                              Hello Calgal.
The bonus weeks do not show up online yet. Since our online exchange system is new, we are still making changes. Eventually, you will be able to view this information online.

                              Thanks.
