  • I tried to follow the thread about

deposits, bonus weeks, fees etc on the chat, but it is just to hard to read.

So, if I give you any week at any resort at least 120 prior to check in, you will give us an exchange good for 2 years from start of week, plus a bonus week that can be used for anything in your inventory online 45 days prior, or by phone 60 days prior for $???

You don't charge for guest use of any exchange, how hard its it to get a new confirmation with their name(s) ? How far in advance does this need to happen?

The exchange fee I have seen is $149 domestic, $159 other, correct?

Is the a way to join/upgrade our membership and reduce these fees?

    What is a PA?

We own several resorts in Hawaii with VI, several 2 bedrooms at the Pono Kai, plus some others Mexico with WIVC, and the Grand Mayan, do these qualify as PA for pricing?

If I deposit a 1 bedroom as a PA or prefered do I get an upgrade to a 2 bedroom if the resort I request only has 2 bedroom units?

    Thanks, Greg

      your Questions

I am so sorry for not responding...I have been having challenges with my log in....
In regards to your questions, below are the answers:
Yes, if you give us your week at 120 days out you will receive one (1) bonus week aka Instant exchange voucher. This voucher can be booked at 45 days out with only a service fee of $169.00. Your banked week is good for 2 years from the date of the week deposited and your voucher is good for 1 year from the date it is issued.

We do not charge for guest names, if you want a confirmation with their name on it, we can mail one or email on to you.

yes, you have the correct exchange fees.

We do have an optional membership called Vacation Exchange Club, you can view the benefits of this membership at Trading Places International - Timeshare Rentals, Exchange, Resales, and Travel Services, one of the benefits is lower exchange fees they would be $119 and $129

PA: premier access, it is a program adopted and paid for by the developer/hoa
You have to have this as part of your resort to get PA pricing.

if you request a resort that only has 2B's you will pay a unit size upgrade regardless of PA or not.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions, thanks!

        Hey Greg & all
I missed the chat but Lawren got my questions answered (TY Lawren )

I own at Desert Breezes & had the opportunity to talk with Marcie in December when we were there. She was very helpful in explaining what I could expect from TPI and how to use their services. Here is my recent transaction as a PA member:

I deposited a non-Premier member resort online (Sedona Springs), checked online for a specific week on the BI. Since I didn't see that exact week I put in a request for Kona Hawaiian Resort or Mauna Loa which are PA member resort. I know from speaking to Marcie that they receive lots of inventory from those resorts so my chances for an exchange are greater. It took a few days to verify my deposit. A rep called me with the exact week at Kona Hawaiian. Instead of using my deposit, she made a deposit of my 2008 DBR 1 bedroom unit since it is a PA resort & I pay NO exchange fee. Since I up-sized I did pay $200 which would be the case using any 1 bedroom deposit. The whole transaction was easy & quick. I am thrilled to have gotten exact dates at a resort I really like. This is about as narrow a search as one can try & TPI did it in less than a week! This is also a resort I can't get using II.

Greg, your units at Pono Kai may gualify you for PA. If so, you would pay no exchange fee to trade for another member resort.
