Hi Marcie

I was on TPI's website today and saw this on the home page: The Aruban Resort & Casino

I have never heard of this resort on Eagle Beach. Is it a new or a renamed property? Will TPI be getting inventory here? Please tell us more about it. If I remember correctly, the only casino in that part of Eagle Beach was or is at LaCabana.

This would make people on the east coast very happy to see TPI expansion into the caribbean non-AI resorts.

This is the new name for La Cabana Villas - which used to share 'facilities' with La Cabana Beach and Racquet's Club.

There was a MAJOR falling out/disagreement between the 2 properties - when we were in Aruba last New Years there were signs all over the LCBRC that owners/renters/exchanges at the Villas could no longer use the pool, beach and other common areas at La Cabana B&RC....money differences - too bad.

Beaches are public in Aruba so anyone can use any beach but the guest from the one property used to walk thru the other to get to the beach - now they will have to walk on the public roads to get there.

Both are very nice properties with the Villas aka The Aruban Resort & Casino being newer and a bit nicer in terms of unit furnishings

Okay, now I am REALLY not Marcie again but I received an email just now from TPI - I think they read your mind as it was featuring the NEW destination for TPI - ARUBA!!!

Yes TPI has taken over mgmt of La Cabana Villas renamed Aruban Resorts & Casino. There will be a revamp and exchange availability for us 2008ish going forward.

I personally am thrilled! as it makes using TPI as an exchange company easier for me on the east coast.
