Availability on Sanibel Island

My sisters and I have placed requests for 6 places on Sanibel Island for May 2010 What are our chances of getting a trade or should we also be looking elsewhere in Florida? We are hoping for oceanfront and laid back atmosphere but not too long a drive from the airport.... not sure we will rent a car. Any advice?

Nancy, This is not an area that TPI gets a lot of. I have seen Sunrise on Marco available through them and think that you should expand your search to include Marco Island and Sarasota to improve your chances for a trade.

You WILL need a car.

I'm sure Marcie will be along to answer your question though as this is JMHO.

Sanibel Trade

Thank you Lauren. We will add more locations to our list. My husand told me this may be the case but I wanted to check..... we would really love to be on Sanibel so I thought I'd ask. Thanks again.

We stay on Sanibel each year mid-June (week 24). We see tons of vacancy signs at that time (it's starting to get hot then). I can't comment on May. Contact the Sanibel CoC for a brochure to expand your search. RAL Resort Property Management in Ft. Myers manages Surfrider where we stay, but they have others on Ft. Myers Beach; call them (1-877-481-9580). -ken
