This past March I made a whirlwind four day trip to Anchorage for the Fur Rondy festival. It was a great time, with lots of sled dog mushing . . . watching and doing. Their sprint races are first class and being there for the final day of racing was great.

Fur Rondy - Anchorage Mar 2010
This event is the week before the start of the Iditarod distance race (Anchorage to Nome over 1,000 miles). In 2011 I will be going to Anchorage over the Iditarod weekend to take in all of that great event! I cannot wait.
