We will be flying into Anchorage late in the afternoon (and even later East Coast time) and leaving the next morning for Seward. We are staying that night in a hotel near the airport. Where is a good place to stop for light groceries and supplies before we leave Anchorage? Is there anyplace for supplies around Seward?

We flew into Anchorage a few years ago and it is a large city and I am sure you can find a good place to get light groceries and supplies. We took the train to Steward and transfered to a Cruise Ship, so we didn't see much of Steward.

Answer

I decided to answer my own question in case anyone else wondered. There was a nice newish Safeway grocery in Seward so we got all needed supplies there. It wasn't as large as a normal Safeway, but had a nice deli and was probably large enough for Seward.
