They could have argued the opposite side and said that the so-called 'gift' of the timeshare was actually a liability given to the judge to screw him over by making the judge pay maintenance fees, special assessments, taxes, etc. They could have brought some timeshare sales weasels as character witnesses as well.....it likely would have produced the opposite verdict.
