  • Article about the Palm Springs Int'l Film Festival and impact on timeshare demand...

Restaurant, hotel business fed by film festival | mydesert.com | The Desert Sun

This article is a great reminder that knowing about local events such as this can be a great way for points owners to discover and secure high demand reservations for either rental or exchange opportunities.

I believe that Diamond, WorldMark, and Monarch Grand are some of the point programs that have affiliates in Palm Springs.

    Hasn't translated into TS rentals

We own Monarch Grand and while I have rented out some January dates, I haven't seen a huge uptake as a result of the film festival. I know of lots of Canadian snowbirds that go down during Jan - Mar but I find Jan one of the slower times just because of people trying to pay off holiday bills. From a travel standpoint, that's also when all the airlines typically do their biggest incentives along with flight/accommodation packages.
