Club Trinidad in Palm Springs- big tax sale...

Riverside County is selling a large bundle of 200 timeshare interests at Club Trinidad on auction as part of a unpaid tax sale.

Has anyone heard any news from this resort? In the past, I've recommended the rci pt 3 year leasehold they were offering- but if they are having financial trouble I'll have to reconsider that..

Any news or thoughts would be appreciated.

Club Trinidad info please

I made a RCI reservation today(3-17-10) for Vegas in May. The guide said she could offer me a great deal at the Club Trinidad for a week in November for only $94.78 for a studio with a full kitchen. The reviews are either horribly bad or horribly good, no in between. I have until 6pm 3-18-10 to cancel. It's about a 10-11 hour drive for us and I'd just as soon not go to a flea bag converted hotel and not pay $95 for the privlege. Anybody have any current info about this Club Trinidad? Garyd210

Used To

Used to own a unit there and visited once. It was my first resale purchase. I finally unloaded it.
Twelve years ago, my only visit, it wasn't bad, but I have no idea what the intervening 12 years have done to it.
It is near downtown, but not within walking distance. If the $94 and change is for a week, not a bad price. I wouldn't pay that for one night, however.

Thanks, Sue! Your Trip Advisor suggestion was just what we needed to go ahead and cancel our November week at Club Trinidad. I ran through the reviews on Tug and was amazed that next to CT was our Tahoe Beach & Ski, which has revamped rooms, amazing beach and surrounded by natural beauty. We visited the Cimarron timeshare in Cathedral City a few years ago. We noted how Palm Springs had generally looked very run down. Most of the stores at the PS mall were closed and in great need of attention. Thank you again, Gary
