  • Club Donatello vs. SVC at Club Donatello

Is there is a difference in decor/unit condition/amenities? Forgive me if that's been covered but I can't seem to find it. Also, I thought the units at the plain Club Donatello were slept 3/2 but the one I've got on hold says "hotel, sleeps 4/2."

Yes Club units are the upper 3 floors of the building. I have not been in the units but I believe they don't have the wet bar area that the SVC units do. The hallways certainly looked more upscale when the elevator stopped there though.

I did recently notice the change in occupancy. Perhaps they have refurbed since my information.

I will call. I found something on their website, saying that remodel wasn't planned until the end of the year. They were planning to do three "model" refurbs, and let owners use them to give input before they started redoing the balance of the rooms. Here's the blurb:

      "Proposed Goals & Objectives for 2009-2010 -
      1. Consistently provide a first-class environment and the high quality of amenities and services that improves on the Four-Star, Gold Crown environment of the Club Donatello and meets the expectations of our Owners and Guests. Implement the pilot 3-room remodel program with primary use by our Owners to obtain specific feedback from them on the style and improvements in the environment and amenities of these rooms prior to expansion of the remodel program in late 2010 to additional Club Room units.
Measurement Criteria = Increased compliments from Owners, higher scores from exchange companies, and decreased complaints from Owners and low scores from exchange companies. Specific feedback measurement for the 3 Remodel Club Rooms."
