I remember reading there is at least one timeshare in San Francisco that WILL NOT allow you to "split" your exchange week...meaning you use a portion and then have a guest finish the week. Which one is it?

I want to say Powell Place is the ONE.

If there is only one, it is Powell Place.

        Thanks.

I think it was you that made that statement somewhere along the line. I'm just too lazy to search right now

Edited to add: I just found your review-it's noted in there and well as some other good tidbits.

Can't you just put the guest on the same reservation as you? In other words.....don't tell the resort that you and your guest will be staying at seperate times.

When I rent out a Marriott week, my name stays on the reservation, and I add the guest's name as well. So what if I never show up.

This is a very small resort with a very active manager. You must pick up your keys each time you enter/leave the property. Believe me, she would know who was actually staying, and when.

She takes your keys when you leave the property? Well, I will never stay there then. I insist on my privacy and I am not going to be "checking in/checking out" every time I want to go in or out of a unit that I have paid to use.

Actually this is a fairly common practice in European hotels. Usually the keys are on a very heavy, bulky holder, so you really don't want to take them with you.

You aren't checking in/out, but simply leaving and picking up your key from the front desk. It is a simple procedure, but they won't allow you to give unused days to friends. It is not that different from a hotel where housekeeping can get into your room, but the inability to gift unused nights to others is annoying if you are only using part of the week.

I had this thought-but 4 people on a sleeps 2 (studio) wouldn't fly. I just recieved a confirmation from the resort itself and in red
writing it stated that you can't split a week. It's all good though-I have relatives staying 4 nights...better than nothing.
