  • Earthquake in Southern California

We saw on the news that there was a 5.7 earthquake at Ocotillo which is on I-8 at the Western edge of the Imperial Valley. Though not a big one, the news reported that it was felt all over Southern California including downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, etc. It happened at 8:52 PM, Monday, June 14.

Did anybody here feel it? We didn't feel a thing and we are closer to the epicenter than those other places. We didn't feel the big one by Mexicali on April 4th. It had a magnitude of 7.2.

We didn't because we were not home and mostly driving. We just got home and didn't notice any damage either.

We didn't feel it either-but we most certainly felt the one on 4/4. My sister is in Santa Monica and she felt the one tonight very much.

We also missed that one because we were in Hawaii. It always worries me when we are away from home and we hear on the news that there was an earthquake in southern California.
